 Installing the Epson XP 440 Driver

  1. Insert the printer CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive to begin the driver installation.
  2. Else, open the downloaded driver file by navigating to the drive location.
  3. Accept the End User License Agreement to proceed with the next step.
  4. On the Software Selection screen, choose your software checkbox and click Install.
  5. Wait until the installation screen loads and the Printer Setup screen appears.
  6. Choose either Wireless connection option or Direct USB connection radio button and click Next.
  7. Select the Set up the printer for the first time radio button and click the Next button.
  8. If you have selected the Direct USB connection option, connect the Epson printer to the computer using a standard USB cable.
  9. If the Wi-Fi Auto Connect screen appears, click the Yes (recommended) button and click Next.
  10. On the "Select a Wireless Network Setup Method" screen, click the Using printer buttons option in the Epson XP 440 setup.
  11. The wireless network name(SSID) and network key(password) will appear automatically on the screen.
  12. Click the Show Network Password button to view the network credentials.
  13. Now, go to the printer's control panel and press the Home button.
  14. Select Wi-Fi Setup  OK  Wi-Fi Setup Wizard  OK.
  15. Choose your Wi-Fi router name and enter the password using the navigation keys.
  16. If the printer displays the "Setup complete, print check report?" message, select Yes to print the network status from the printer.
  17. Finally, the driver installation is completed successfully.
  18. If you wish to install the same drivers on other computers, follow the same steps mentioned above and select the "The printer is already on my wireless network" radio button from the Select Setup Options window.
  19. After the driver installation, you can access the printer functions remotely from the computer.
